Building Resilient Kids equips parents, caregivers, educators, and ministry leaders with practical, research-informed tools to help the children in their lives thrive — no matter what they’ve faced.
Explore the many facets of resilience and discover why some children bounce back from hardship while others get stuck — and what makes the difference.
Learn how to expand your ability to hold space for others without becoming overwhelmed. Develop the inner resources needed to remain present, regulated, and effective over the long term.
Move beyond theory into practice. You’ll walk away with concrete strategies for teaching resilience skills directly to the children and teens in your life.
Explore a toolbox of activities and exercises specifically designed to help kids practice resilience skills in real time — at home, in classrooms, and in ministry settings.
You won’t just study these tools — you’ll experience them yourself. Engaging with the material personally deepens your understanding and prepares you to lead others through it.
Learn how to cultivate the kind of safe, connected relationships that form the bedrock of resilience — and discover how joy plays a central role in a child’s emotional health.
Adversity is part of the human experience. Resilience is what allows us to bounce back — and even grow. The key to becoming more resilient is joy, and true, authentic joy can only come from healthy relationships.
This course doesn’t just tell you what resilience is — it walks you through how to build it, one relationship and one skill at a time. You’ll finish with a robust understanding of how to build strong, healthy attachments, walk with a child through difficult emotions, help kids return to feeling safe and connected, and use story as a tool for discovering purpose and building hope.
Each week combines expert instruction, hands-on practice, and practical tools — delivered live so you can engage, ask questions, and grow alongside a community of like-minded caregivers and leaders.
Eight sessions of biblically grounded, research-informed teaching that integrates the neuroscience of trauma with practical strategies for building resilience in children.
Each week you’ll discuss and practice what you’re learning in online breakout rooms with fellow participants. Relational learning goes deeper — and that’s exactly the point.
More than just information, this course gives you hands-on exercises and practical tools you can use immediately. You’ll experience each activity as a participant before you ever use it with a child.
